From the initial booking and the fantastic help, guidance and ideas from yourself – your patience with the measurements and the area we had to fill and working with us to best do that - to the actual arrival of the activities and the event itself. The 2 Sunshine event organisers arrived earlier then expected but that was not a problem and were fantastic the whole day – they worked their socks off – despite the rain we had at times – and were never without a smile.

Thank you to all at Sunshine Events for helping us make our first summer party such a success! If we get the authorisation to organise next years we will most definitely be back in touch – well I guess that is if you will have us!!!!!

Ice-Cream Bike, ahoy!

Hopefully this is the first of many, we’ve got the bug now, we won’t rest until Ice-Cream bike has a starring role in Transformers, Sunshine Bear in The Return of the Teddy Bear’s Picnic, and Dudley Dino in Jurassic Park IV: The Inflatable Era.

Bungee Ropes, since their invention by Mr & Mrs Bungee of the Swiss Bungees, have become best known for their role in the world of ‘Jumping’. A world where the brave (or foolhardy) get their thrills from leaping ridiculously from high buildings, bridges, or in some cases, cranes, and then being bounced safely back into mid-air before they hit whatever lies underneath, then to fall down again, bounce up again, down, up, down, up, until everyone gets bored and goes for chips leaving them dangling there all red faced and delirious as they watch their lose change and mobile phone fall hopelessly towards the earth.

Well, as much fun as all that sounds, we believe we have a better use for the most elastic of sturdy ropes. The Bungee Run….

The Bungee Run is brilliant fun. You strap yourself in, clutch a velcro bean bag, prepare yourself, and run as far as you can and stick the bag as far along the run as possible before the rope inevitably wins and snaps your comically back to the starting point, proving once again that man (or woman, or child) is no match for Bungee. It can can competitive, we won’t deny that, but it can be a great giggle too.

Adjustable rope settings mean it’s just as much of a challenge for the biggest and strongest as it is for the youngest and least sporting. Fully trained operatives (supplied by us) means it’s as safe as safe can be for all who use it. It works indoors or outdoors and it doesn’t need acres of space.

Most of these guys had been working since 6am, in baking heat and even rain showers, they kept the event running smoothly all day and none of them ever stopped smiling, even when we made them delay packing up for a bouncy group photo at the end. Our MC and circus staff, our technical crew and equipment operators, our logistical team… even the bosses joined in! They all brought a great spirit to what was a fantastically fun event and we wanted to give them the praise they deserved.

Always building, always growing our collection, we’ve taken more deliveries this week. Number 1 – More Ice-Cream Bikes! You’ve probably noticed, but these are pretty much our favourite things Human-powered mobile frozen treat delivery systems. We think they have a place at every single event, so, well, we got more.

 We’ve also got ourselves a new game, Pitch Burst! A ball, a target to throw it at, which is attached to some pins, arranged around a balloon, filled with water, positioned above a chair… All you need to a ‘willing volunteer’ and I think you can imagine the rest.
